ACES/Trauma Informed Care Collaborative Meeting - Tues Nov 14

Hello Friends of Child Abuse Prevention Council! Have you heard about our latest work here in Amador County?

We have started an ACES/Trauma Informed Care Collaborative. What is that you ask?

ACES stands for "Adverse Childhood Experiences", these are related to short- and long-term negative physical and mental health consequences among children and adults. Trauma Informed Care is a way of understanding, recognizing, and responding to the effects of all types of trauma as they impact every sector of society: education, business, health care and criminal justice to name just a few.

The Child Abuse Prevention Council has formed this collaborative to address the issue of adverse childhood experiences and unresolved trauma and its far-reaching impacts here in Amador County.

We would like to invite you to our next ACES/Trauma Informed Care collaborative meeting Tuesday, November 14, from 3:00-5:00 pm, here at the CAPC building in our main conference room, 975 Broadway, in Jackson.

Please join us to further the discussion and come prepared to create a vision for what a trauma-informed community here in Amador can look like, and what steps we can start taking to make that happen.

Below is a flyer with all of the meeting information. If you could please share this widely with others you feel would be a good fit for this initiative here in Amador County, it would be much appreciated.

Please RSVP to let us know if you will be able to make it or not.

If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call or send us an email.

Thanks so much!
