Holistic Health Fair returns on January 25

The new year often finds people reflecting on the changes they would like to make in their lives.

On Saturday, January 25, the 10th annual Amador County Holistic Health and Wellness Fair returns to the Amador Senior Center in Jackson, offering lots of resources for improving one's quality of life.
The theme of this year's health fair is "The Road to Wellness," which invites attendees to take an interactive journey toward good health and well-being by sampling the many wellness products and services that are available locally. Each booth that a person experiences gives him or her a "step" on that road to wellness, and those with 10 steps or more are entered in the drawing for the grand-prize "Wellness Package,” a combination of products and services that promises to transport the winner to a blissful state of well-being. A complimentary raffle of other great prizes is available for all who attend.

The nine previous years of this health fair have showcased some of the best wellness options that Amador County and the region have to offer, including massage therapy, chiropractic, energy-based healing, acupuncture, homeopathy, meditation, spiritual counseling, yoga, shamanic drumming, chi gong, and various exercise and nutrition programs. This year also promises to have a great variety of practitioners and healthy products to inspire all who attend to make small or significant changes for the better in their lives.

Dynamo Foods-- a cafe in Jackson that specializes in healthy, plant-based foods made with organic and local ingredients-- will be making a nutritious and delicious lunch that will be available for purchase. There will also be local food, local farm products, and other wholesome products for sale.

Admission to this event is FREE, and all are welcome to attend. The health fair is 11 am to 4 pm at the Amador Senior Center, 229 New York Ranch Road, Jackson. Sponsored by the Body, Mind, Spirit Center of Amador. For more information, call event organizer Michelle Grondin at 209-419-2503.
