Amador County SELPA Class: ADHD, Nutrition & Lifestyle - Thurs Mar 21

Team Fitness offers Cardio Kickboxing Class

Cardio Kickboxing Class

This class will prepare you for whatever life throws your way! Punching, kicking and cardio intervals will give you an awesome high energy workout!

The moves used in class will include - warm up for arms and legs, cardio interval drills including jump rope, jumping jacks, skip drills, punching combo's using pads and the heavy bag, kicking moves on bag and kick pads. Basic exercises such as pushups, crunches and sit ups will also be used in the intervals. We will also be doing combinations using all the moves you learn.

Don't let any of this scare you off. All the moves in class can be modified for any level of fitness. You will probably feel a little uncoordinated at first, this is something different for your body, just give it a little time, after 5 to 6 classes you'll start to feel a lot more in control and get an real sense of empowerment!

This is a great way to give your body a much needed cardio change from the old treadmill, in addition to toning your arms, legs, back and chest.

This class is offered Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturday mornings. For a detailed schedule of all the classes visit:

Your first week is FREE to try it out!

Pool Closure at New York Fitness

New York Fitness Members,

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the pool heater is not functioning and is ultimately beyond repair.  A brand new heater has arrived, however, it will require extensive detail for its installation.

The NYF pool will be closed Saturday, February 9th  and until further notice.   The hot tub will only be closed this Sunday, 2/11.   Maintaining a year-round, heated pool is our highest priority and we will be devoting our time to getting it up and running as soon as possible.  There is a slight chance that the old equipment could get the pool to temperature for Sunday, 2/11 swimming, however, another closure (2-4 days) will need to happen for the new heater assembly.

Classes, lap swimming and Excel pool therapy will resume once the installation is complete and proper water chemical levels and temperature have been reached.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will update you as soon as the pool is ready for use.  Please contact the fitness desk @ 223-3236.  Our maintenance department will be advising desk staff daily with progress reports.

Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding,

Natalie Ostergaard
