The Amador County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI Amador) is holding an affiliate meeting and free support group on Tuesday, November 27th in the Multi-conference Room at Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m
Dr. Carlos Solis, who is the Staff Psychiatrist at the Amador County Behavioral Health Dept., will be the guest speaker for the November meeting. Dr. Solis will speak about his philosophy of wellness and recovery and how he works with his clients. We will also address community advocacy relating to depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, etc.
From 6:45 to 8:00 p.m. we will conduct a Support Group for family members and caregivers of those with mental illnesses.
Both our affiliate meeting and free support group occur on the 4th Tuesday of each month, are confidential, and open to the public.
