Boot Camp for New Dads - June 6 from 6 to 8 p.m.
This one-evening, interactive class is designed to address the unique needs of first-time fathers. Boot Camp for New Dads is an innovative, nationally acclaimed program for dads-to-be, taught by veteran dads with the help of their babies. The focus of the discussions is adjusting to life with a new baby, including the joys and challenges of new parenthood. Class is free to new dads.

Maternal Connections for New Moms - June 6 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Maternal Connections is a class for moms-to-be in which new moms share their experiences, insights and advice. The focus of the discussions is adjusting to life with a new baby, and is an opportunity to ask questions and receive advice from hospital experts. Class is free to new and expecting moms.

Welcoming Baby: The First Month – June 13 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Learn important ways to care for yourself as well as your new baby. This free one-evening class shares information on normal newborn appearance and behaviors, crying, comforting skills and how to cope with little sleep. A free class and must for all new parents.
Breastfeeding Success ~ June 7, June 14, June 21, June 28 from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m.
This is a weekly meeting to invite mothers and babies to share, learn, get support. A certified lactation consultant facilitates this group/class every Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Oakview Room on the 2nd floor of Sutter Amador Hospital. All expectant and breastfeeding mothers and babies are welcome, including grandmothers and siblings. Attend once, or as often as you like. Class is free.
Breastfeeding: Beyond the Basics ~ June 20 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.This one-evening class is highly recommended for first-time or experienced mothers who are planning to breastfeed. Find out more about the latest research and recommendations for success including nutrition and exercise, biological nurturing, storage and emotional adjustments for the family. This interactive class is taught by a certified lactation consultant and is free to all attendees.
