JACKSON, CA - The amount of information given to new parents can be overwhelming. Tips in books, magazine articles and advice from friends and relatives can be conflicting and daunting for new parents-to-be. Sutter Amador Hospital wants to help consolidate information about the birthing process in a one day information-packed Saturday class to provide expecting parents with a foundation of knowledge and confidence to welcome a new baby with love.
On Saturday, March 25, the hospital will host the Great Beginnings Express class which will cover topics ranging from signs and stages of labor, relaxation in labor, the role of the birth partner, birthing comfort measures, pain management and much more.
“The classes offer a forum for expecting parents to gather information, ask questions and meet other couples with the same concerns,” said Jane Snyder, registered nurse and instructor in the Sutter Amador Hospital Family Birth Center. “It’s a full free day of information to help parents prepare for labor and get more familiar with the hospital.”
