The new year often finds people reflecting on the changes they would like to make in their lives. They may have been frustrated in the past by their attempts to make those changes because they did not have the right “tools.” On Saturday, January 30 from 11 AM - 4PM, the 12th annual Amador County Holistic Health and Wellness Fair returns to the Amador Senior Center in Jackson, offering lots of resources for improving one's quality of life.
The fair presents an opportunity for attendees to start their journey toward good health and well-being by sampling the many wellness products and services that are available locally. The wealth of information provided by the vendors will guide attendees to choose the best tools for successfully reaching their goals. The purpose of the wellness fair is to have people engage actively in their health. The theme of this year's fair is “Wellness From Start to Finish,” with the intention of introducing people to wellness options for every stage of life.
The eleven previous years of this health fair have showcased some of the best wellness options that Amador County and the region have to offer, including massage therapy, chiropractic, energy-based healing, acupuncture, homeopathy, meditation, spiritual counseling, yoga, shamanic drumming, chi gong, and various exercise and nutrition programs. This year also promises to have a great variety of practitioners and healthy products to inspire all who attend to make small or significant changes for the better in their lives.
Ana's Healthy Kitchen will be making a nutritious and delicious lunch that will be available for purchase. There will also be local food, local farm products, and other wholesome products for sale. Some vendors charge a small fee for a demonstration of their services.
Admission to this family-friendly event is free, and all are welcome to attend. Everyone who attends can enter the free raffle for a chance to win healthy products and services. The health fair is 11 am to 4 pm at the Amador Senior Center, 229 New York Ranch Road, Jackson. Sponsored by the Body, Mind, Spirit Center of Amador.
