Sutter Amador Hospital Delivers First Baby of 2014

JACKSON, Calif. – Valley Spring’s resident, Kimberly Stuart-Hoeke, delivered Shalyn Rosemary Stuart at 4:45 pm on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, making her the first baby born at Sutter Amador Hospital this year.

Siblings Jaime Hoeke, 14, and Skyler Hoeke, 12, were excited to have their 7 pound, 6 ounce baby sister be the first baby born in 2014. The family’s uncle, Jim Rebstock, is looking forward to baby Shalyn’s arrival home.

To celebrate the New Year baby, Sutter Amador Hospital’s Family Birth Center presented Kimberly with a gift basket full of newborn supplies. Each year, the Family Birth Center staff donates items to fill a large basket that is given to the family of the first baby born in the New Year.
